Monique Johnson, Ed.D. is an experienced versatile leader with years of experience in career development, diversity and inclusion, and leadership. She is the owner of Dr. MCJ Consulting, LLC, a coaching and consulting practice based in greater Cincinnati that provides individual and group career coaching, large-scale presentations, guest speaking, training, and consulting services.

She is a committed practitioner who specializes in career exploration, and transition. Monique coaches all levels from beginner to executive level. She also has demonstrated experience working with various types of organizations and school districts to diversify their workplace cultures through inclusive planning, training, strategic planning, recruitment and retention, and program development. Over the course of her career as an Assistant Dean, Career Services Professional, Assistant Professor (Tenure Track), Program Director and Adjunct Professor, she has inspired personal growth and provided support for navigating team dynamics.

Monique earned her B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts in Mass Communications, her M.Ed. from Pennsylvania State University in Counselor Education with a focus in College Student Personnel and her doctorate degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Counselor Education with a focus in Higher Education Administration and a minor in Human Resource Development. She is a Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS), a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Professional Coach (ICF) working towards becoming a Professional Certified Coach.

No matter the project or cause, Monique is passionate about creating safe spaces that empower individuals in their careers as well as impact positive change within organizations from the inside out and the outside in. She recently wrote a chapter in the book Reset Collective, Micro Shift: Small Mindset Changes for Big Results to be published in February 2022.
